Measuring for your head size is both an art and a science. You can use a tape measure (or a length of string that you will have to hold up to a tape measure) to determine the length.
Place the string or tape around your head about 1 cm above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly.
Basically you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size. What we consider the final hat size is the circumference in centimeters.
The One-Size version is made with our special elastic sweatband and it fits the range from size 56 to size 60.
A brand new model for this FORTUNE TELLER collection is Fosco. Based on a teardrop crown shape and finding its identity in between a GRATEFUL and a DROP.
The material used is rabbit fur felt which has a soft and pleasant touch even if the structure of the hat is stiff and not floppy. The brim is flat in the center and curled up on the edge to create the socalled "pencil brim".
All over the hat, micro hot stamps represent the symbols used by the hobo traveling in wagons from the big depression era to now days.
Brim dimension ~ 7,5cm depending on the hat size.
On the brim a "repair" stitch inspired to the stitches used to be made on broken denims to be fixed, earthpiece TM stitched on the crown.
Inside you can have the vegetal tanned calf leather sweatband in case you are picking the SIZED* solution or the elastic one if you are picking the ONE SIZE FIT ALL* version.
The hat is hand made in Florence, Italy with respect and consciousness of quality and making process.
Handmade in-house by young artisans, we avoid some of the pitfalls of fast fashion, such as unnecessary waste, excess inventory and unsafe working conditions.
